Item Description – Lead Roman game balls with strange unknown notches around the edges
Estimated age – Around 43 AD – 410 AD during Roman occupation of England
Find Location – These Roman Game Balls were found by local detectorists on known Roman Industrial site.
Thought to have been occupied by General Ostorius Scapula in preparation for the assault on Pictland.
Other finds have been found locally, with the remains of a Roman Villa just 2kn away as the crow flies.
